Overview

In this role, you will act as the credit expert for a regional client portfolio, covering corporates, financial institutions, and sovereign-related entities across MENA. You will lead due diligence, credit analysis, and structuring of diverse credit facilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage risk and execute transactions. The position emphasizes strong analytical judgment, client relationships, and end-to-end ownership of credit decisions. You will work in a fast-paced environment to stay ahead of market trends and support responsible growth.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the credit expert for a regional portfolio and manage credit exposure
  • Monitor ratings, sector trends, and client performance across industries
  • Lead due diligence, credit analysis, financial modelling, and credit memo preparation; recommend structure and risk appetite
  • Structure and negotiate loan documentation, derivatives, and treasury-related facilities across secured and unsecured products
  • Make sound credit recommendations and own the credit approval decision
  • Balance commercial solutions with rigorous risk controls
  • Track market and macro developments and maintain in-depth knowledge of portfolio clients
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and foster team knowledge
  • Coach and train junior team members on technical and professional skills
  • Lead due diligence meetings with clients

Key requirements

  • Strong analytical and credit skills/judgment across qualitative and quantitative analyses
  • Demonstrable product knowledge of lending, derivative, and treasury services products and documentation
  • Established team player with project management and end-to-end ownership
  • Ability to identify key issues in clients, industries, and transaction structures
  • Ability to establish credibility with clients, product specialists, and credit officers
  • Ability to foster relationships with origination teams and internal stakeholders
