Overview

As Regional Operations Manager, you will oversee the delivery of soft facilities management services across the North East, ensuring client satisfaction and operational profitability. You will lead a large team, drive performance and compliance, and collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to grow the business. The role requires travel, flexibility, and occasional weekend work to support sites and projects. You will shape service delivery, safety, and continuous improvement to achieve regional objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the company strategy to achieve objectives
  • Review financial forecasts and targets
  • Lead and motivate the team with clear roles, KPIs, and feedback
  • Manage performance and HR processes including disciplinary action
  • Communicate with regional stakeholders on objectives and performance
  • Ensure awareness of Health & Safety, Environmental, Sustainability and Quality policies
  • Win new business to meet budgets and optimize resource use
  • Develop client relationships and support service delivery improvements
  • Improve profitability through estimating, project management, and cost control
  • Ensure projects meet financial targets and escalate issues when needed
  • Provide training in health & safety and ensure resources meet regulatory obligations
  • Coordinate with health and safety to prepare the Management Health and Safety Plan
  • Ensure projects comply with legislative requirements and contractual obligations
  • Allocate resources for project teams and monitor construction-phase readiness

Key requirements

  • Experience managing a large team delivering high value turnover
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification or willingness to obtain within 3 months
  • Health & Safety policy and standards management
  • PC literacy with Microsoft Office
  • CDM regulations knowledge
  • Commercial awareness
  • Experience in commercial management and WIP reporting
