Overview

In this role you will support the Collateral Operations Unit to manage counterparty risk for OTC derivatives. You’ll work across Front, Middle, and Back Office groups to determine collateral allocations, process cash and securities transfers, and monitor exposure. You will investigate discrepancies, maintain procedures, and seek efficiency improvements. The role offers cross-functional collaboration within a global bank and the chance to contribute to risk management and settlement operations. This position combines analytical detail with operational impact in a dynamic market environment.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with multiple internal groups (Back/Middle Office, Corporate Treasury, Global Securities Operations)
  • Determine collateral allocation and delivery of securities
  • Process cash collateral via cash/wire transfers
  • Support traders, credit, and capital markets in derivatives operations
  • Monitor credit exposure on derivatives
  • Negotiate collateral agreements (documentation)
  • Investigate mark discrepancies and maintain procedure manuals
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and processes

Key requirements

  • basic understanding of financial markets and derivative products
  • basic understanding of financial markets documentation (ISDA, IFEMA, PSA)
  • college degree or related experience
  • detail oriented with ability to spot unusual flows/triggers in collateral agreements
  • basic Excel skills
  • ability to meet deadlines, handle high-pressure situations, and manage multiple tasks
