Trade Support Specialist

Overview

In this role you will support Portfolio Managers and internal teams to ensure timely capture and affirmation of trades across multiple asset classes. You will help reduce operational risk while improving speed and efficiency in trade capture, working within a global, follow-the-sun MO structure. You’ll engage across teams to resolve trade exceptions, affirmations, and potential P&L impacts, contributing to a reliable, cross-asset trade workflow. This is a hands-on, stakeholder-facing role that combines trade operations with process improvement to support the business trading activity.

Responsibilities

• Automate and streamline trade capture processes to reduce operational risk and improve speed
• Provide T0 support and timely service to stakeholders as business initiatives evolve
• Monitor trade queue and promptly clear exceptions from new executions
• Manage Middle Office inboxes and resolve queries from Portfolio Management teams and counterparties
• Coordinate electronic affirmation with onshore/offshore teams and counterparties for multiple asset classes
• Perform non-electronic affirmation to address risks on non-electronic trades
• Deliver T+1 remediation and inform impacted parties of issues from the previous day
• Escalate process failures or potential issues to line management and risk teams
• Support a follow-the-sun global model with clear handover between regions
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure accurate and timely trade capture daily
• Identify pain points in processes and drive remediation through end-to-end project delivery
• Identify and document risks, proposing control improvements and informing Operational Risk of findings

Key requirements

• Previous experience with traded products
• Ability to work in a high-paced environment and prioritize multiple deliveries
• Strong market understanding and familiarity with industry and regulatory change
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with a team and managing project deliveries alongside BAU
• Strong interpersonal skills for daily interaction with senior stakeholders
• Familiarity with MarkitWire, Markit Trade Manager, Bloomberg, and Murex is beneficial
