International Accountant

Overview

In this role you will support accounting and compliance for international subsidiaries, ensuring accurate reporting and alignment with US GAAP and local GAAP. You will collaborate with auditors, bookkeepers, and legal teams across time zones to streamline processes and deliver timely financial statements. You will drive improvements through automation and cross-functional teamwork, shaping how Palantir manages global finance. This position offers a chance to impact international finance operations and standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support accounting and reporting for assigned countries from end-to-end, including journal entries, monthly close reconciliations, year-end activities, and coordination of tax, audit, census filings and business bidding requests
• Prepare support for US GAAP consolidated reporting and reconciliation to local GAAP
• Coordinate with local external bookkeepers, auditors, tax, and legal teams to ensure compliance with reporting requirements
• Ensure accurate and timely recording, reconciliation and treatment of inter-company transactions
• Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvement with cross-functional collaboration
• Assist on projects and ad-hoc assignments as needed

Key requirements

• 3+ years in finance or accounting within a US multinational company
• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS; knowledge of share-based payments a plus
• Chartered Accountant or CPA preferred
• Public accounting experience with a Big 4 firm is a plus
