Electrical Building Services Design Engineer

Overview

In this role, you will lead electrical design for diverse building projects within a growing MEP consultancy in London. You’ll deliver energy-efficient and sustainable solutions, collaborating with architects, engineers, and clients to meet standards and project goals. You’ll influence design outcomes from concept through completion and mentor junior engineers. Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design process from concept to completion on building services projects
• Develop detailed designs using AutoCAD, Revit, ElectricalOM, and Dialux
• Produce and review technical reports, drawings, and specifications
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers and other stakeholders
• Mentor and guide junior engineers
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice
• Attend client meetings and represent the consultancy professionally
• Contribute to sustainability-focused and low-energy design solutions

Key requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in electrical building services design in an MEP consultancy
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ElectricalOM, and Dialux
• Strong knowledge of British Standards, Building Regulations, and CIBSE guides
• Experience delivering projects across sectors (commercial or residential)
• Strong communication skills for presenting technical information
