Overview

In this role, you will advise on EU and global platform laws to support Snap’s privacy and product strategy. You will build relationships with regulators, guide regulatory investigations, and shape go-to-market strategies for new products. You will work closely with engineers, product teams, and policy partners to ensure compliant, scalable solutions in a fast-evolving landscape. You will help scale the legal function by introducing technology-first processes and training cross-functional teams. Responsibilities

  • Advise on global platform laws with focus on DSA and Online Safety Act
  • Build relationships with regulators and regulatory stakeholders
  • Manage requests for information and regulatory investigations, coordinating with internal teams and outside counsel
  • Analyze regulatory requirements for new products, services, and technologies
  • Develop global regulatory compliance and go-to-market strategies with legal and business partners
  • Collaborate with Policy and Communications on consultations and legislation drafting
  • Scale the legal function with technology-first processes, including leveraging AI
  • Conduct trainings for engineers and other teams

Key requirements

  • Significant experience advising on online safety and digital regulation in Europe
  • Deep understanding of the European digital regulatory landscape, including platform regulation and privacy law
  • Experience advising on Digital Services Act and Online Safety Act
  • Detail-oriented, business-minded, and highly collaborative
  • Excellent legal and business judgement with strategic and creative thinking
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex issues to diverse stakeholders
  • Experience partnering with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams
  • Comfort with navigating emerging areas of law and technology in a fast-evolving regulatory environment
  • UK or EU legal qualification
