Sr Strategic Sourcing Spec

Overview

In this role you will provide strategic subcontracting sourcing support within project environments, aiming to cut costs and boost competitiveness during both pre-bid and execution phases. You will collaborate with project management, estimating and sales to shape sourcing plans and support proposals. You’ll lead negotiations, supplier relationship management, and post-award savings initiatives while aligning with Honeywell’s supply strategy. This position offers the chance to influence large-scale projects and drive continuous improvement in procurement practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement subcontract strategies aligned with business needs
• Negotiate price, terms, and performance-related conditions to secure savings
• Build strong relationships with suppliers/subcontractors and promote preferred partners
• Support front-end planning and proposal development with sourcing input
• Lead RFx processes, evaluate responses, and guide subcontractor selection
• Identify and qualify subcontractors per Honeywell policies
• Negotiate modifications to standard terms and back-to-back contracts with customers
• Drive post-award savings through re-bidding and value engineering while ensuring quality
• Monitor subcontractor performance and address issues per contract terms
• Promote procurement tooling adoption and track PO compliance and efficiency
• Represent Supply in local leadership discussions and coordinate with cross-functional teams

Key requirements

• Bachelor
• 5-8 years business experience with 3-5 years in strategic sourcing
• Proven subcontractor negotiation experience with favorable terms
• Experience in project business procurement (construction/plant)
• Experience with SAP or Oracle or similar procurement systems
• Strong verbal and written communication across diverse audiences
• Strong leadership and collaboration with engineering/technical teams
• Self-motivated, capable of handling multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work in a multicultural, team-based setting
• Fluent in English
• Preferred: Six Sigma and/or Lean green belt
