Overview
In this role, you will support the UK HSW Strategy, contributing to Zero Harm and Sustainability Action Plans and monitoring HSW KPIs. You will assist bid teams with robust HSW responses and provide expert incident investigation support. You will establish project-specific risk-based SLAs, conduct site inspections, and generate formal HSW reports to track performance against regulatory and BMS requirements. You will apply risk management to identify and implement appropriate HSW opportunities, helping us improve safety culture and project outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Support delivery of UK HSW Strategy and Sustainability Action Plan
- Contribute to Zero Harm Action Plan and KPI achievement at project and business level
- Assist work winning teams with quality HSW responses for bids and proposals
- Provide expert support for investigating accidents, incidents and near misses
- Develop and review local risk-based Service Level Agreements for projects
- Conduct regular site inspections per project risk matrix
- Produce formal reports via Project Portal on HSW inspections and project performance
- Perform regular health and safety risk management checks to identify and address risks and opportunities
Key requirements
- Relevant H&S Diploma, NVQ or Degree (or equivalent level 6)
- Chartered Membership of IOSH (or working toward)
- Proven incident investigation competence
- Strong understanding of UK Health and Safety Regulatory Framework and HSW Business Management Systems
- Ability to prepare formal written HSW reports
- Project planning and project management capability

- Broad experience of complex construction and civils projects
