Overview

In this role, you drive the electrical design and delivery of safety-critical material handling systems within a multidisciplinary team. You collaborate with engineers, customers and suppliers to produce compliant, cost-effective electrical solutions and ensure timely project delivery. You will develop electrical documentation, support procurement and installation, and maintain quality records to support successful handovers. This position offers growth in a global engineering community and a chance to shape complex automation projects in airports and logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Support safety-first culture and embed health and safety into designs
  • Contribute to feasibility assessments with the Project Leader Engineering
  • Plan electrical activities, deliverables and timelines with the project team
  • Design complete electrical installations (power distribution, control cabinets, field wiring, supports)
  • Produce electrical schematics, calculations, and documentation for manufacturing, installation and commissioning
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
  • Support site teams and subcontractors with guidance and issue resolution
  • Continuously develop skills and contribute to process improvements

Key requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or related discipline
  • Understanding of electrical power distribution and control systems
  • Experience in electrical design for industrial or low-voltage installations
  • Knowledge of automated material handling, airport or industrial automation systems advantageous
  • Familiarity with EPLAN and/or AutoCAD (training provided)
  • Awareness of industrial networks (PROFINET, PROFIBUS, AS-i or similar)
  • Knowledge of electrical design standards and safety requirements (Machinery Directive beneficial)
  • Interest in working in multidisciplinary engineering environments
