Financial Controller

Overview

In this role you will serve as Qualified Accountant overseeing three large divisions, primarily remote with occasional travel to Abingdon. You will manage month-end processes, including expenses, accruals, P&L variances, and reconciliations, and prepare accurate financial statements. You will handle VAT returns, budgets vs actuals, and balance sheet reconciliations, with some exposure to audit and statutory accounting. This position sits within the finance function supporting multi-division control and regulatory compliance. The opportunity offers remote work with periodic travel, contributing to robust financial reporting and stakeholder confidence.

Responsibilities

• Manage expenses, accruals, and P&L variances
• Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
• Prepare VAT returns and monitor budget vs actuals
• Prepare and present financial statements
• Support audit and statutory accounting processes
