Overview

In this role you help shape Digital Assets risk governance within Business and Commercial Banking. You will develop and embed control frameworks across new products, services and customer journeys, balancing innovation with safety. You’ll collaborate with business, product, tech, operations, legal and compliance to monitor risks and strengthen controls. You’ll use data to spot trends, produce governance materials, and challenge plans to ensure safe delivery. This is an opportunity to influence risk management at scale within a leading UK bank.

Responsibilities

  • Lead risk and control activity across Digital Assets initiatives, providing practical insight and constructive challenge
  • Design and develop end-to-end control frameworks for products, services, processes and customer journeys
  • Identify operational, conduct, financial and regulatory risks and translate them into effective controls and monitoring
  • Partner with programme, platform and delivery teams to embed control-by-design throughout the change lifecycle
  • Utilise data, analytics and management information to identify trends and improve control effectiveness
  • Prepare governance materials and clearly communicate risk and control matters to senior leaders

Key requirements

  • Strong commercial understanding of non-financial risk, control management, operational risk or governance
  • Ability to analyse information, evaluate options and support effective decision making
  • Strong leadership and senior stakeholder management across functions
  • Experience in change, transformation, product development or delivery environments
  • Clear communication of complex information through governance papers and presentations
  • Experience with Digital Assets concepts, distributed ledger technology, tokenisation (desirable)
  • Experience applying control-by-design in large-scale programmes
  • Experience using data and analytics to improve risk insights and monitoring
