Overview

In this HR Advisor role, you provide practical HR support to managers and staff across Renishaw, handling employee relations and policy application. You ensure lawful, fair decisions and contribute to people initiatives while working with HR partners to resolve issues. You will coach managers, promote a positive employee experience, and support change and workforce planning in a multi-site environment. This is a hands-on role focused on compliant, people-centered HR delivery.

Responsibilities

  • HR Advisory Support: provide practical, timely HR advice and act as first point of contact for policy and people management issues
  • Employee Relations Case Management: manage a broad range of ER cases, guide managers through processes, prepare documentation, promote informal resolution, support change and consultation
  • Manager Capability and Employee Support: coach managers on people practices, support performance management, deliver HR training and briefings
  • Workforce Planning and Talent Support: assist with succession planning, recruitment onboarding, and development needs with Learning and Development
  • Data and Reporting: monitor HR metrics, produce insights, identify trends and risks, maintain records, support policy reviews
  • Project and Team Contribution: support HR projects, contribute to organisational change, share knowledge and best practice

Key requirements

  • CIPD qualified or working towards
  • Generalist HR advisory experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
  • Experience managing employee relations cases independently
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to coach and influence managers at different levels
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance risk, compliance and commercial considerations
  • Experience analysing HR data and identifying trends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems
