Overview

As Claims Analyst Manager, you lead and develop a team of Claims Analysts to deliver high-quality, compliant claims decisions. You partner with governance, QA, and Claims leadership to oversee decision quality, risk, and continuous improvement. You manage workloads, ensure policy alignment, and support transformation initiatives, including automation and system changes. You will act as a senior SME for claims processes and communicate with stakeholders to secure fair customer outcomes and regulatory compliance. This role suits a proactive leader who shapes claims analysis within SCOR’s global operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a Claims Analysts team to achieve high performance and quality
  • Oversee claims analysis activity for accuracy, policy alignment, and authority adherence
  • Collaborate with QA to monitor processing, escalation of complex/ high-risk claims
  • Manage performance using KPIs, quality scores, and workloads with SLA adherence
  • Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and best practices in claims analysis
  • Serve as SME for claims system/processes and contribute to transformation initiatives (automation, changes)
  • Provide first-line triage/support and maintain risk controls within governance frameworks
  • Support regulatory reviews, QA findings, and timely corrective actions
  • Communicate with stakeholders (claims experts, management, underwriters, brokers)
  • Ensure Consumer Duty/fair principles are embedded and manage reputational/regulatory risk

Key requirements

  • Experience leading operational or claims handling in a global (re)insurance or large London Market/Lloyd’s Syndicate with international operations
  • Proven and developed claims handling or claims analysis
  • Strong understanding of governance, controls, and quality standards for claims
  • Sound judgement for complex decision-making
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using MI to manage performance and risk
  • Strong organization and planning skills
  • Strong leadership presence with influence and the ability to challenge
  • Objective, fair, and risk-aware mindset
  • Structured, logical, and resilient under pressure
  • Data analytics and MI for performance/risk management
  • QA frameworks, audit activity, or governance experience
  • Knowledge of policy terms and claims controls/ICS
