Buyer Procurement Manager – British Bespoke Sculpture Manufacturing

Overview

In this role you will own procurement, supplier relationships, materials and stock for our bespoke design workshops. You will collaborate closely with design and workshop teams to ensure timely, quality materials for commissions and help refine purchasing processes. The position offers growth into broader operations leadership within a renowned British luxury design business. You’ll be based in Oxfordshire with probation on-site, and the potential for hybrid work as you implement improved systems and Sage 200. This is a hands-on, impact-driven role at the heart of crafting exceptional pieces.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing across specialist materials and subcontracted services
• Negotiate pricing, terms and lead times with suppliers
• Monitor quality, performance, expenditure and supply risks
• Ensure materials availability at the right time and right cost
• Coordinate operational priorities across design, workshop production, finishing and delivery
• Own stock accuracy, inventory management and materials planning
• Organise logistics, deliveries and fleet requirements
• Support Health & Safety and maintain clear records and processes
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow and reduce delays
• Support Sage 200 ERP implementation and cross-team accountability
• Lead two direct reports and contribute to wider operational function

Key requirements

• Strong procurement, buying and supplier-management experience
• Confident negotiation and cost-control skills
• Experience managing physical materials, stock and inventory
• Strong planning skills and ability to coordinate competing priorities
• Track record of improving processes and day-to-day operations
