In this senior, hands-on role you will bridge business analysis with end-to-end project delivery, focusing on complex tax operations and regulatory change. You’ll lead a BA team, manage projects, and shape future-state operating models. Responsibilities
- Directly manage and develop a team of Business Analysts, including performance reviews and career planning
- Oversee BA capacity planning and allocate resources to regulatory, technology, and operational initiatives
- Establish BA standards, methodologies (Agile/Scrum), and templates to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Lead workshops to elicit and document detailed requirements, user stories, and functional specs
- Design and map current and target operating models to identify gaps and automation opportunities
- Analyze tax data and systems to translate needs into technical specifications for engineering
- Define UAT strategies, create test cases, coordinate testing, and validate delivered solutions
- Develop and maintain project plans, scope, milestones, and resources
- Proactively manage RAID (risks, actions, issues, dependencies) and report governance metrics
- Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams to ensure on-time delivery
- Serve as strategic liaison among Tax Operations, Engineering, Corporate Tax, and partners
- Design and execute change management plans, SOPs, training materials, and post-implementation support
- Analyze and implement regulatory change (global tax reporting and compliance-driven mandates)
- Drive workflow optimization, platform enhancements, and automation tool integration
- Address control gaps and mitigate regulatory risk through remediation activities
Key requirements
- 10+ years in hybrid BA/PM or senior BA roles within financial services, focusing on Tax Operations or regulatory change
- Proven people management of BAs or change professionals
- Mastery of BA methodologies (Agile/Scrum, user story mapping), SQL, data analysis, and process modeling (Signavio or Visio)
- Project lifecycle management with budgets and PM tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project)
- Strong domain knowledge of operational tax processes and risk management
- Bachelor’s degree; professional certifications (CBAP, PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile Scrum Master) highly preferred
