Overview
As People Insight and Reward Manager, you will lead workforce intelligence, pay and reward services to support strategic decision-making and long-term workforce planning. You will translate complex data into actionable insights for senior leaders and drive continuous improvement through technology-enabled solutions. You will lead a specialist team and collaborate with HR, Finance and ICT to shape workforce strategy and organisation performance. This role offers a chance to influence pivotal people priorities in a large council.

Responsibilities
- Lead the council’s workforce data, insight, pay and reward functions
- Develop people analytics, workforce reporting and strategic workforce intelligence
- Lead annual pay review processes and reward programmes
- Provide expert guidance to senior leaders on workforce and reward matters
- Oversee job evaluation, pay governance and reward frameworks
- Manage statutory workforce reporting, data governance and compliance
- Drive workforce planning and data-led decision making
- Champion continuous improvement, digital transformation and service redesign initiatives
- Build relationships with senior stakeholders, trade unions and external partners
- Sponsor and deliver major workforce, reward and organisational change programmes
Key requirements
- Significant experience in people insight, workforce analytics, pay or related specialist field
- Expertise in workforce data analysis, people analytics and reward strategy
- Experience overseeing job evaluation processes and maintaining pay and grading integrity
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills
- Experience developing and implementing strategic frameworks, policies and improvement programmes
- Excellent leadership and people management capabilities
- Advanced ICT skills, including experience of HR systems and advanced Excel
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience
- A relevant professional qualification, or be working towards one
- A full driving licence and ability to travel to offices in Aylesbury
