Overview

As Risk Manager on a defence infrastructure project, you will lead risk identification, analysis and mitigation across the project lifecycle. You’ll collaborate with the Programme Delivery Lead, clients, and partners to keep risk under control in a fast-moving environment. You’ll drive the risk management framework, TOM, and governance through workshops, dashboards, and MDAL management, enabling safe, on-time project delivery. This role offers exposure to major infrastructure in a regulated sector and the opportunity to shape risk processes across multi-agency teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of the risk management process, roadmap, and Target Operating Model (TOM)
  • Facilitate monthly risk reviews, workshops, and maintain risk registers & dashboards
  • Support Quantitative Cost & Schedule Risk Analysis (QCRA/QSRA) and quarterly reporting
  • Manage project assumptions and maintain the Master Data & Assumptions List (MDAL)
  • Track mitigation plans and ensure risk actions are delivered
  • Collaborate with project leads, suppliers, and partners to manage risks, avoid duplication, and drive delivery
  • Monitor supply chain performance and flag emerging issues early
  • Ensure compliance with client processes and infrastructure requirements

Key requirements

  • SC Clearance held and available to work on client site 3 days/week
  • Strong knowledge of risk processes and management
  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and see the bigger risk picture
  • Experience in infrastructure risk analysis
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient IT skills
  • Confident communicator at executive level
