Data Scientist

Overview

As a Data Scientist in Premier Research’s Clinical Data Sciences team, you support biotech, medtech, and pharma partners in turning scientific ideas into approved medicines, devices, and diagnostics. You will collaborate with study teams, vendors, and data specialists to ensure high-quality clinical data and robust data risk management. You’ll shape data workflows, contribute to eCRF planning and external data integration, and help drive study metrics and budgets. Responsibilities

• Coordinate data management activities across studies and external data sources
• Plan and oversee eCRF discussions, reviews, UAT, and external data source integrations
• Assess data risk during study planning and ongoing evaluation
• Lead communications with data team members to ensure timely task delivery and protocol training
• Create, maintain, and store data-related documentation per SOPs and study requirements
• Oversee functional area eTMF filing and quality control
• Monitor study budgets and identify potential out-of-scope activities
• Generate, review, and report study metrics and financials as needed
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, data standards, and department guidelines

Key requirements

• Bachelor in Life Science
• 4-6 years in Data Management or relevant industry experience, with 0-2 years leading studies
• Experience with at least two clinical data management systems; in-depth knowledge of Medidata Rave or DataLabs EDC
• Familiar with all study phases (startup, maintenance, lock)
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong computer skills in Windows and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities; capable of independent work and managing multiple projects
