Overview
As Lead Mechanical Engineer, you design and develop oilfield subsurface components, systems, and controls, collaborating across design, manufacturing, and verification. You contribute to a structured engineering environment that builds safe, reliable energy solutions. You will work on layouts, drawings, and design verification, applying DPM processes and ASME Y14.5 standards to scale impactful subsurface products. This role offers hands-on growth, cross‑functional teamwork, and direct impact on mission-critical oilfield technology.

Responsibilities
- Create layouts, functional specifications, stack-up evaluations, and assembly procedures
- Interpret customer specifications to produce layouts and assembly designs
- Support small engineering teams with work packs, drawing reviews, and supervision
- Develop conceptual design requirements and layouts per Design Process Management
- Produce detail, fabrication, and assembly drawings per ASME Y14.5
- Modify 3D models and drawings to manufacturing standards using parametric design
- Apply design-for-manufacture principles for machining, welding, and assembly
- Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) for approval
- Participate in design verification activities, including tolerance studies and manufacturability reviews
- Support FAT and PVT procedures and document results
- Ensure design documentation is archived in electronic document management systems
- Identify opportunities to improve products, processes, and procedures in a cost-effective way
Key requirements
- Engineering Mechanical or related discipline
- Strong understanding of engineering design principles, verification, and risk assessment
- Proven Oil and Gas industry experience
- Knowledge of materials (metals, elastomers), welding, and heat treatment
- Awareness of relevant industry standards and engineering codes
- Conscientious, adaptable, eager to learn in a structured environment
