Technical Director / Manager (Mechanical)

Overview

In this role you lead large-scale mechanical building services projects and teams within commercial, hotel, and mixed-use sectors. You provide technical direction across design groups, collaborating with electrical colleagues and committees to ensure high-quality deliverables and innovative solutions. You contribute to developing mechanical and public health design standards UK and overseas, while supporting risk management and best practices. This is a senior role focused on shaping design quality and project outcomes at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale projects and project teams within the mechanical building services scope
• Provide technical and design leadership to Project Directors, Associates and senior engineering experts
• Collaborate with electrical counterparts and technical committees to maintain and enhance deliverable quality
• Promote innovation in design work and contribute to development of design standards
• Support risk management and the application of best practices across projects
• Develop and standardise mechanical and public health design approaches for UK and overseas projects

Key requirements
