Overview
In this role you support young learners in Early Years and Key Stage 1 across North Bristol, helping them build confidence, independence and essential skills. You work with teachers and SEND teams to create a safe, nurturing, play-based learning environment. You may provide 1:1 or group support and help with transitions and classroom routines. This position offers both long-term and flexible, ad hoc opportunities to fit your availability and experience.

Responsibilities
- Support children 1:1 or in small groups, including children with SEND
- Develop communication, confidence and independence in learners
- Facilitate early learning through play, creativity and practical activities
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Assist with transitions and classroom routines
- Collaborate with teachers, SEND teams and other support staff
- Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive
Key requirements
- Experience in Early Years, primary education, SEND, childcare, youth work or related fields
- Appropriate qualifications and training for this role
- Enhanced DBS check and DBS Update Service
