Overview
In this role you will manage a mixed portfolio of credit hire and vehicle damage claims within DAC Beachcroft’s Vehicle Hire and Damage Team. You will work with insurers and corporates, delivering end-to-end dispute resolution while contributing to the team’s market-leading insights and strategy support. The role involves handling busy caseloads, meeting client service standards, and collaborating across the firm to drive performance. This is a flexible, hybrid/remote opportunity with strong development potential and exposure to diverse clients. You will shape outcomes by applying technical expertise and proactive risk management to complex matters.

Responsibilities
- Manage own caseload of mixed-value credit hire and damage claims with proactive progression
- Deliver work meeting client needs, service standards, and commercial expectations
- Identify and address emerging risk or compliance issues
- Collaborate with colleagues to support overall team performance
- Maintain financial awareness and meet targets
- Share information and contribute to team-wide communications
- Support team motivation, engagement, and wellbeing; participate in performance discussions
- Act as a client-facing reference with strong technical expertise
- Support business development activities (training, events, insights)
- Keep up-to-date with training and data security protocols while handling confidential information
Key requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Litigator with litigation rights
- Experience on Credit Hire and Damage claims; cross-over with Motor or similar Civil Litigation acceptable
- Caseload management experience for credit hire or related claims
- Strong compliance with client SLAs, protocols and KPIs
- Organised, autonomous work style with ability to escalate when needed
- Commercial awareness of legal positions and proportional arguments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Resilient, confident negotiator open to feedback
- Keen to learn and apply new skills
- Strong IT skills, especially Word and Excel
