Portfolio management Solutions Engineer – Presales

Overview

In this Principal Solutions Engineer role within the EMEA Solutions Engineering team, you translate client workflows into SimCorp solutions and demonstrate the value of SimCorp One through demos, workshops, and PoCs in the Portfolio Management and Trading domain. You collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to support revenue targets and expand SimCorp’s profile across EMEA. You engage with clients to articulate benefits, respond to RFIs/RFPs, and deepen product knowledge to drive client success. This role combines deep domain expertise with strong presentation and consulting skills in a growth-focused, collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client workflows and map requirements to SimCorp solutions
• Map customer requests to the product and services offered by SimCorp
• Prepare high-quality responses to RFIs and RFPs
• Deliver SimCorp One demos, workshops, and POCs
• Communicate benefits and value of SimCorp solutions to clients
• Understand SimCorp’s sales model and related processes
• Maintain knowledge of SimCorp’s product and service portfolio
• Share expertise with the team

Key requirements

• Domain expertise in Portfolio Management and Trading
• Very good presentation or system demo skills
• Strong consulting and written/spoken communication skills
• Methodical and structured approach
• Experience in presales or implementation in financial services (nice to have)
• Fluency in English (essential); French or German beneficial
• Willingness to travel within EMEA (≈5 days/month)
