Quantity Surveyor

Overview

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will commercially manage subcontract packages on a 400+ unit high-rise development in Birmingham. You join an established team to control costs, procure to budget, and drive value engineering alongside the Technical and Production teams. You will ensure timely payments, settle final accounts, and report cost movements, contributing to the delivery of iconic, city-centre housing. Responsibilities

• Review specifications and assess cost impacts
• Procure subcontract packages to specification and budget
• Negotiate best value while maintaining quality
• Value engineer developments with the Technical Department to reduce build cost
• Collaborate with Production during procurement and build to resolve conflicts
• Settlement of final accounts
• Forecast and mitigate cost risk
• Generate accurate payments in a timely manner
• Report on cost movements and budgets
