Payroll and Benefits Specialist.

Overview

In this contract role, you will manage end-to-end payroll and benefits for the company and its clients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. You will collaborate with the HR team to maintain reliable payroll processes across multiple providers and oversee pension and benefit activities. You’ll provide data-driven insights, support year-end tasks with HMRC liaison, and help onboard new clients onto payroll software. This position offers potential for permanency based on performance in a growing financial services firm.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple client organisations across several payroll providers
• Plan and execute tax year-end tasks, liaising with HMRC, generating P11D/P60s, and reconciling Directors NI
• Develop, refine and manage payroll system performance
• Oversee pension requirements for the company and clients
• Generate payroll reports and perform data analysis to support the business and clients
• Coordinate with benefit providers and conduct annual benefit reviews; reconcile invoices and premiums
• Support onboarding of new clients onto payroll software, including BACs setup
