Digital Experience and Gen AI Product Owner

Overview

In this role you will shape the digital workplace strategy within a leading professional services firm, focusing on maximizing value from the Microsoft 365 collaboration ecosystem and Generative AI. You will translate evolving Microsoft and AI capabilities into business outcomes, partnering with stakeholders to boost adoption, productivity and knowledge sharing. You will balance innovation with governance to keep solutions secure and compliant while delivering measurable impact. This is a high-visibility role that combines technology, user experience and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Own the Microsoft 365 roadmap aligned to business strategy and user needs
• Develop and enhance digital workplace capabilities across SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and the Microsoft 365 suite
• Identify opportunities to leverage Generative AI (Microsoft Copilot) to improve productivity and knowledge sharing
• Evaluate emerging Microsoft/AI capabilities and advise on adoption, governance and business value
• Manage product backlogs, prioritising enhancements, adoption initiatives and governance improvements
• Define collaboration standards, information architecture and workspace governance frameworks
• Coordinate with technology, compliance, security and business stakeholders to balance innovation with risk management
• Collaborate with change, training and communications teams to drive adoption and engagement
• Establish success metrics and monitor product performance, ROI and adoption
• Produce reports, recommendations and business cases for leaders and governance forums
• Act as trusted advisor to stakeholders seeking to improve processes via Microsoft 365 and AI-enabled solutions

Key requirements

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 technologies (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience owning/managing digital workplace or collaboration products in regulated environments
• Experience developing roadmaps, backlog management and continuous improvement
• Understanding of M365 governance, permissions, lifecycle, information architecture, retention and data protection
• Ability to translate tech capabilities into practical business solutions and adoption strategies
• Strong stakeholder management for technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience producing business cases and reports for senior leadership
• Familiarity with Generative AI technologies (Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Chat, AI agents) would be advantageous
• Experience in legal or regulated professional services is a plus
