Overview

In this role you will help design and deploy Hines’ Enterprise Risk capability, starting with European real estate risk governance via RERC. You will coordinate governance, reporting and escalation while building broader risk practices across the firm. You will produce concise risk reporting and insights for senior leaders and stakeholders, and collaborate with regional and functional teams to mature risk management. This position offers cross-region exposure, interaction with executive leadership, and a path to shape risk governance globally.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop the Enterprise Risk capability, focusing on EU real estate risk governance
  • Manage end-to-end RERC governance cycle (planning, papers, meetings, logs, escalations)
  • Create clear risk reporting and analytics for leaders and stakeholders
  • Consolidate risk information from multiple sources to identify trends and remediation priorities
  • Coordinate risk identification, assessment, recording, monitoring and escalation across functions
  • Collaborate with HR, Procurement, Legal, Compliance, Insurance, Investment Risk and Internal Audit
  • Support third-party, responsible-business, resilience and business continuity risk governance
  • Build governance templates, playbooks, training and process improvements; support due-diligence and governance reviews
  • Travel across Europe to maintain stakeholder engagement and risk activity

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional qualification
  • 8+ years of experience in risk governance, operational risk, controls or assurance
  • Experience coordinating senior governance committees and end-to-end committee cycles
  • Experience preparing risk reports and dashboards for executive forums
  • Ability to coordinate between risk owners and independent risk/assurance functions
  • Experience implementing or improving risk management and governance frameworks
  • Strong analytical capability and ability to translate risk data into insights
  • Experience in multinational or matrix organizations and managing cross-functional initiatives
  • Ability to work independently with sound judgement
