Overview
In this role you will contribute to the ongoing operation and maintenance of building services at MMUH. You will diagnose faults, repair complex systems, and perform proactive maintenance to keep critical healthcare facilities running safely. You will gain Competent Person status for LV electrical, access control, alarm, and medical gas systems, enabling safe, compliant work. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable service within a contract-driven environment, contributing to a decarbonised, resilient hospital campus. Responsibilities
- Respond to reactive maintenance jobs including diagnostic fault finding and repair of complex mechanical/electrical systems
- Obtain Competent Person status for LV electrical, access control, alarm systems and medical gas installations
- Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) across site in line with programme and training
- Minimise contract penalty deductions by timely issue resolution
- Assist with installation work for minor upgrades or adaptations
Key requirements
- Recognised apprenticeship in relevant engineering discipline to City & Guilds level
- City & Guilds levels 2 and 3
- 18th Edition (AM218)
- Post-apprenticeship maintenance experience
- Desirable healthcare maintenance experience
- DBS Standard clearance (essential)
