Overview

In this Procurement Consultant role, you will shape procurement strategy for major public and private sector projects. You’ll join the Contract Services team to deliver end-to-end procurement advice and support for flagship programmes, collaborating with specialists to push Best in Class procurement. The role supports service development, targets, and growth, including initiatives in Sustainable Procurement, Transformation, Renewables, Digital Procurement and Net Zero strategies. It offers mentoring, training, and opportunities to progress in a growing, entrepreneurial team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide procurement strategy advice for public and private sector clients
  • Collaborate on end-to-end procurement services for major projects/programmes
  • Support development of Contract Services offerings at Turner & Townsend
  • Support delivery of team and business targets
  • Contribute to work-winning capabilities of the Contract Services team

Key requirements

  • Experience in a strategic procurement environment
  • Tender preparation and development experience
  • Experience of developing and awarding contracts individually or as part of a team
  • Knowledge of multiple supply markets with cross-sector exposure and Public Contract Regulations or equivalent
  • Awareness of NEC and JCT standard form contracts
  • Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply (or working towards)
  • Degree related to construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law or procurement (preferred)
  • Security Clearance (SC) – current or restorable
  • Defence, Utilities, Infrastructure sectors experience (preferred)
  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to work autonomously with initiative
