Senior/Principal Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Services)

Overview

As a Senior/Principal Mechanical Design Engineer in Solihull, you will lead mechanical building services design for landmark projects within a major projects team. You will design, plan and coordinate work across RIBA stages, and act as project lead for key accounts. Collaboration with clients and design teams will shape high-performance HVAC and building services that comply with Building Regs and CIBSE. This role offers growth during an expansion of the major projects capability and meaningful impact on healthcare and data centre schemes.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan and coordinate projects through all RIBA stages
• Lead for specific projects
• Attend client and design team meetings
• Manage key client accounts
• Produce high-performance mechanical building services design for landmark projects
• Develop Mechanical and HVAC design compliant with Building Regulations and CIBSE guidelines

Key requirements

• Chartered status
• BEng Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 7-10 years’ experience in Mechanical Design Engineering
• Familiar with Building Regulations and CIBSE guidelines
• Experience in Healthcare & Data Centre projects
• Experience using Hevacomp for Mechanical Design
