Overview
In this role you will lead highways delivery projects for public and private clients across the UK, guiding planning, design and construction with a focus on quality and efficiency. You’ll mentor junior staff, contribute to the team’s knowledge base, and work across multi-disciplinary accounts. You’ll collaborate with clients and stakeholders to deliver schemes on time, balancing commercial and technical priorities. Responsibilities
- Manage delivery of highways projects across the UK from planning through construction
- Ensure adherence to quality management systems and drive project efficiencies
- Provide guidance to junior staff and contribute to internal knowledge base
- Mentor and upskill staff towards professional qualifications
- Plan, monitor and control projects with effective change management
- Undertake contract management under various framework and standalone contracts
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders and internal teams to deliver schemes
Key requirements
- Professional qualification in project management and/or engineering
- Degree in STEM
- Undertaken NEC accreditation and lead/administer NEC contracts
- Membership of professional bodies (APM, PMI, MRICS or MICE)
- Experience in highway/linear infrastructure projects is beneficial
- Competence in stakeholder management, risk, planning/scheduling, and commercial management
- Proficiency in project management tools and software
- Experience with Designers Duties under CDM regulations
