Overview
In this role you lead structural design for water and wastewater infrastructure, delivering from concept to construction. You collaborate with clients and AECOM teams to drive approved, high-quality solutions. You’ll produce and review calculations, drawings, and reports while managing budget and schedule. You mentor junior staff and explore new methods to innovate. This is a chance to shape resilient water projects through a global, multidisciplinary firm.

Responsibilities
- Design and review structural elements for water and wastewater infrastructure from concept to construction
- Collaborate with clients and project teams to secure buy‑in and align on solutions
- Produce and review calculations, drawings, and technical reports to standards
- Deliver within agreed budget, programme, and quality; assist with project planning
- Explore innovative methods and forward-thinking approaches
- Mentor and supervise junior staff, delegating tasks and guiding technical work
Key requirements
- Civil or Structural Engineering degree or equivalent
- Experience in structural analysis and design, especially reinforced concrete and steelwork
- Experience with digital delivery using BIM and 3D design tools
- Membership or working towards membership of ICE or IStructE
