C&I Sales Specification Engineer – Fire

Overview

In this role you drive specified demand for Eaton’s fire detection and alarm solutions by influencing design and standards at early project stages. You will engage with consultants, architects, and design houses to secure protected specifications and guide projects from design through tender. Working across England remotely, you support pre-tender activities and collaborate with sales and technical teams to ensure compliant, integrated fire safety systems. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with fire consultants, M&E consultants, consulting engineers, architects, and design houses to influence system architecture and compliance approaches.
• Ensure Eaton’s solutions are named or performance‑specified in specifications, fire strategies, and tender documentation.
• Identify and track early-stage and pre‑tender projects across commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and regulated buildings.
• Convert design engagement into protected specification opportunities through to tender.
• Collaborate with colleagues to secure orders via contractors, system integrators, and distribution teams to ensure design-to-order continuity.

Key requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in Commercial & Institutional (C&I) building projects, with exposure to building services consultants and fire detection equipment.
• Professional Technician or bachelor/master in electrical engineering, or justifiable equivalent education.
