Overview
In this role you will manage a varied private client caseload and deliver tailored, commercially mindful advice to individuals and families. You will work in a collaborative Bristol team, supporting client relationships and the growth of the private client department. The role focuses on wills, estate planning, probate, LPA, trusts, and Court of Protection, with an emphasis on empathetic client care. You will contribute to the firm’s reputation for high-quality private client work while benefiting from hybrid working and clear career progression. Responsibilities
- Managing a diverse caseload of private client matters
- Drafting wills and advising on estate planning
- Handling probate and estate administration matters
- Preparing and advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Supporting clients with trusts and tax planning matters
- Managing Court of Protection and elderly client work
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Assisting with the continued growth of the private client department
Key requirements
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
- Ideally 2+ years’ PQE within private client law
- Strong technical knowledge across private client matters
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Proactive and collaborative approach to work
- STEP qualification or working towards STEP would be advantageous but not essential
