Senior/Principal Civil Engineer – Airfield Team

Overview

In this role you will apply civil engineering expertise to support the expansion of Ramboll’s Aviation Airfield capability for civil and military clients. You will join a small, specialist team and work on a range of civil design projects across all RIBA stages, shaping sustainable airfield infrastructure. You’ll manage budgets, risks, and mentoring for junior staff while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities

• Project management of civil design projects across all RIBA stages
• Civil design for traditional and design-and-build procurement
• Management of project cost, budget and risk/opportunity
• Support and development of junior staff
• Review and assessment of alterations to existing infrastructure

Key requirements

• Extensive experience delivering civil engineering services across all RIBA stages
• Experience with technical and feasibility studies including site investigations
• Experience delivering design of new civil infrastructure
• Chartered engineer or working towards chartership
• Experience delivering civil design in accordance with Eurocode and UK Building Regulations
• Knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 including Principal Designer role
