Overview

In this role you will help lead and grow the leveraged finance practice in Leeds and the North within a market-leading national banking and finance team. You will handle complex financing transactions across the full lifecycle, including drafting facilities and security documents and negotiating intercreditor arrangements. The role includes portfolio work, restructures, and cross-team collaboration to support borrowers, lenders, and investors. You will contribute to the Leeds office expansion and the firm’s growth strategy in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead leveraged finance and corporate financing transactions, including sponsor-led and growth lending
  • Draft and negotiate facilities agreements and security documents (LMA and non-LMA)
  • Negotiate intercreditor arrangements and liaise with lenders, borrowers, intermediaries and investors
  • Manage portfolio work including restructures, resets, restatements and bolt-ons
  • Collaborate with corporate and restructuring teams; support cross-office coordination
  • Participate in client development initiatives and contribute to expansion of the Leeds practice
  • Support multi-jurisdictional financing transactions and cross-functional deal execution

Key requirements

  • 5+ years PQE
  • strong leveraged finance, cashflow and general banking experience
