Overview

In this role you lead complex, cross-functional programs within Lonza’s Integrated Biologics R&D team to deliver therapies from concept to execution. You will collaborate across R&D, technical, regulatory and commercial stakeholders to align objectives and governance. The position focuses on ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery while navigating a matrix environment. You will contribute to high-impact projects that help bring medicines to patients worldwide and shape program management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex cross-functional programs with defined scope, timelines and quality targets
  • Foster strong relationships across R&D, technical, commercial and regulatory teams as the central coordinator
  • Drive program governance, risk management and decision-making throughout the lifecycle
  • Represent stakeholder interests while balancing business priorities and project objectives
  • Motivate and influence multidisciplinary teams in a matrix environment to achieve common goals
  • Share program management expertise and best practices in onboarding and development
  • Maintain high data quality and ensure alignment with CoE standards

Key requirements

  • Significant experience leading complex programs in life sciences or biotechnology
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority
  • Strong program management capabilities: governance, planning, risk management and delivery
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building with technical and business audiences
  • Degree in Life Sciences or related discipline; postgraduate qualification advantageous
  • PMP certification or comparable qualification desirable
