Senior Marine Cargo Wholesale Broker

Overview

In this role you will drive growth for the wholesale marine cargo arm of a well-established UK insurer/broker, leveraging London/Lloyd’s market access to place cargo and stock-throughput risks. You will build and manage a UK broker pipeline, fostering cross-border relationships with UK/European Retail Brokers and carriers. The position offers autonomy, a path to leadership, and strong upside through a major growth initiative in the wholesale division.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a pipeline of UK-based Insurance Brokers for cargo/stock throughput enquiries
• Develop and maintain relationships with Lloyd’s/Carrier markets and UK/European Retail Brokers
• Support growth of the wholesale division and potentially lead a team in the future
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align market access with broker needs
• Operate with autonomy to minimize conflicts and maximize broker partnerships

Key requirements

• Strong expertise across the marine cargo insurance market, preferably with broker experience
