In this role you will lead on-site delivery as the No.1 Site Manager for education projects in Hertfordshire, working with a privately owned main contractor. You will oversee new build and refurbishment works, starting with a four-block education project and additional refurbishment tasks, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule. You will collaborate with the project team to drive delivery across schools and related facilities. This is a hands-on leadership role at a regional contractor with ongoing education-focused work.

Responsibilities

• lead on-site delivery for education projects (new build and refurbishment)
• coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site activities
• ensure safety, quality, and programme adherence on daily basis
• manage project scope, risks, and client communications
• oversee the initial four-block education development and ongoing refurbishment works
• maintain site records, reporting, and compliance with regulations

• experience as No.1 Site Manager with reputable main contractor
• proven track record on both new build and refurbishment projects
• education project experience is essential
