Quality Inspection Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead the Quality Control function within our Operations team, guiding a team of Team Leaders, technicians and apprentices to uphold quality and drive continuous improvement. You will align quality objectives with the company’s strategic goals and collaborate with Design, Methods Engineering and Operations to resolve manufacturability and inspection challenges. You will foster accountability, develop talent, and promote Lean initiatives to boost efficiency and performance. Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of Team Leaders, technicians and apprentices to foster operational excellence and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with senior leadership to set strategic goals and ensure Quality aligns with long-term objectives
• Support alignment of Engineering and Operations initiatives to enhance capabilities and collaboration
• Promote personal accountability and self-directed development to achieve and exceed KPIs
• Oversee talent management including skills matrix, recruitment, training, engagement, performance, and succession planning
• Drive employee engagement through open communication and targeted upskilling
• Implement and maintain LEAN principles with CI team to improve efficiency
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting with Finance for cost management
• Collaborate with Design, Methods Engineering and Manufacturing on manufacturability, testability and inspection challenges
• Implement and manage equipment and tool calibration processes and information
• Lead on process adherence, quality, asset ownership and SOPs
• Provide strategic direction to support future QA vision

Key requirements

• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in leadership roles within Quality Inspection or operations
• Strong focus on LEAN and continuous improvement
• Experience with talent management and performance development
• Ability to collaborate across Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing
• Budgeting and cost management experience
• Knowledge of calibration processes and SOPs
• Strong leadership and communication skills
