Overview

In this role you will oversee key operational processes to deliver excellence across stock, customer service, till and administration at the Selfridges boutique. You will work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure compliance, efficiency and a seamless client and team experience. The role involves supervising stock control, store systems, health & safety, and back-office operations to minimize losses and maximize service quality. This is an opportunity to shape luxury retail operations within a globally renowned brand and contribute to an exceptional client journey. You will be at the heart of store performance, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive retail excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily stockroom activities, set inventory quality standards, validate stock counts, and handle consignment follow-up.
  • Oversee shipping/receiving, cycle counts, stock control, and back-office operations; address depreciated and slow-moving stock.
  • Support boutique in high-standard customer service, client treatment, and event management; supervise service-related processes and implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with management on floor management, visual merchandising, and cross-functional activities.
  • Supervise till operations, deposits, and expense control; manage PO lifecycle, invoicing, and payroll-related administration.
  • Ensure policy compliance, lead corrective actions, and maintain internal audits and monthly controls.
  • Maintain health and safety controls, uniform standards, IT management, and boutique security; monitor maintenance and supply levels.
  • Act as key store systems user; implement new tools and provide training for new hires and current staff.
  • Provide team support, coaching, and motivation; liaise between team and management; support development of the team.

Key requirements

  • Supervisor/management experience in luxury fashion or high-service retail.
  • Strong operational knowledge across stock management, audit compliance, health & safety, and boutique administration.
  • Analytical profile with advanced Excel skills and ability to run and act on reports.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
