Overview
As Project Manager, you will lead delivery of a portfolio of rail and civil engineering schemes in the Bristol area, including the MetroWest Programme. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure safety and quality across sites. You’ll build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and authorities while driving risk, change and reporting. This is an opportunity to own high-profile infrastructure works and shape delivery in the South West.

Responsibilities
- Manage the successful delivery of bridge, highways and civil engineering projects
- Lead project teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure all projects are delivered safely and in line with client, company and industry standards
- Take ownership of project programmes, budgets, resource planning and commercial performance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and local authorities
- Manage risks, opportunities, change control and project reporting
- Oversee Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance across all sites
- Coordinate engineering, planning, commercial and site delivery teams to achieve project objectives
Key requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within rail, civil engineering or major infrastructure projects
- Strong background delivering bridges, highways, structures or rail civils packages
- Experience managing multiple workstreams and project teams simultaneously
- Excellent stakeholder and client management skills
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets and programme delivery
- Knowledge of NEC contracts
- SMSTS and CSCS required
- Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline desirable
