In this role you will lead technical excellence and safety across transport schemes, delivering high-quality highways solutions within a global multi-disciplinary team. You’ll own key design deliverables, seek automation opportunities, and manage scope changes to protect schedule and budget. You’ll collaborate with discipline leads and stakeholders while mentoring junior engineers to raise capability. Responsibilities

  • Deliver and own design deliverables for highways projects with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process optimisations
  • Escalate scope changes to protect programme and budget integrity
  • Collaborate with discipline leads and project stakeholders to achieve high-quality outcomes
  • Mentor and support less experienced team members to build capability
  • Contribute to delivering schemes for major clients and cross-market initiatives

Key requirements

  • Design experience in transportation and the built environment
  • Professional qualification in engineering and CEng/IEng or equivalent
  • Technical experience delivering local and/or major highways projects or land-side elements
  • Strong knowledge of DMRB, MCHW or international equivalents
  • Solid understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation
  • Ability to work independently within a global multi-disciplinary team
