Overview
In this role you will be a senior member of BCG’s Global Legal Team, focusing on commercial contracting and risk management across the Nordics and broader EMESA regions. You will draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements, establish and improve contracting standards, and guide senior stakeholders on legal and commercial implications. You will leverage AI-enabled tools and legal technology to scale delivery while maintaining high standards of privacy, data protection, and compliance. The position offers cross-regional collaboration and opportunities to shape how legal support scales with automation and templates.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide array of complex commercial agreements (e.g., MSAs, client/vendor agreements, licensing, SaaS, data/digital/AI services)
- Identify legal and commercial risks early and articulate mitigation strategies to senior stakeholders
- Champion contracting standards, policies, and processes; assist with deviations approvals
- Provide broad legal advisory across licensing, IP, data protection, competition, and trade regulations
- Lead and participate in ensuring GDPR/data security compliance and investigations in data breach events
- Drive the use of AI and technology to accelerate legal delivery and create scalable workflows
- Coach colleagues and stakeholders in responsible use of legal tech and AI tools
- Manage cross-functional teams to resolve complex legal issues and ensure ethical standards
- Develop legal templates, playbooks, and knowledge tools to improve efficiency
Key requirements
- 10+ years of commercial contracting experience with international exposure
- 5+ years with a reputable law firm or equivalent in-house experience
- Graduate degree in Law (J.D.) and admission to practice
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- English and Swedish fluency; additional languages a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced environments
