Senior Digital Engineering and BIM Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead the information management function for the project team, aligning BIM data practices with ISO 19650 and client standards. You will develop BEPs, oversee digital handover strategies, and ensure governance of information throughout the project lifecycle. You’ll collaborate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to drive compliant, efficient BIM delivery and continuous improvement, contributing to Mace’s net zero and client-focused mission.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Team throughout the project lifecycle
• Assess current resources on projects to meet goals
• Develop BIM Execution Plan (BEP)
• Develop client digital handover strategy
• Maintain understanding of ISO19650 and applicable standards
• Ensure security protocols for information access
• Implement governance and assurance processes
• Produce information requirements (OIR, AIR, PIR, EIR) per ISO 19650
• Develop and maintain information standards, methods, and shared resources
• Raising job requisitions to recruit BIM talent
• Research regulatory and governance compliance
• Develop object libraries aligned with BIM Strategy
• Assure and check Information Model
• Produce the Information Model (Pre-RIBA Stage 3)
• Review Autodesk Construction Cloud account management and stay updated on Autodesk developments
• Evaluate and research new tech to improve BIM processes
• Support construction sequencing via information models
• Support cost team with cost plans from information models
• Provide BIM training on databases, data analysis, templates, assurance, COBie, and related topics
• Upskill client, Mace PM and design teams via BIM knowledge sharing sessions
• Collaborate with Mace PM and Design on procedures and compliance
• Identify and implement continuous improvement plans
• Maintain internal and external relationships
• Manage senior stakeholders
• Contribute to net zero carbon transition and manage associated emissions reduction

Key requirements

• Level 6 qualification or equivalent
• Experience with BIM roles and information management
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 and related standards
• Ability to develop BEP and digital handover strategies
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM tools is desirable
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to lead governance and assurance processes
• Familiarity with COBie, data templates, and information exchange
• Analytical mindset for data and process improvements
