In this role you will lead cost management for major utilities programmes, shaping commercial strategy and bid support. You’ll work with clients, contractors and internal teams to drive value, governance, and efficient delivery across complex infrastructure projects. You’ll influence market positioning and embed best practice while supporting growth in the utilities sector. Responsibilities
- Support successful delivery of projects in the Utilities sector including pre and post contract quantity surveying
- Strategic cost planning and management
- Procurement and contract administration
- Financial reporting and risk management
- Stakeholder engagement and collaboration
- Benchmarking and market intelligence
- Systems and process improvement
- Compliance and governance
- Contribute to project and wider business financial performance (revenue and profitability)
- Promote efficiency, best practice and deliver projects on budget
- Keep up to date with current thinking and best practice in the discipline
- Work closely with clients, contractors and project teams to deliver on budget and in line with strategies
Key requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying
- MRICS or equivalent (Chartered)
- Experience in consultancy or client side roles
- Experience with utilities packages is essential
