Overview
In this role you will contribute to the design and delivery of airport infrastructure, working within AECOM’s Aviation Infrastructure team to shape runways, taxiways, aprons and related systems. You collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers to translate masterplans and feasibility studies into detailed designs and construction-ready solutions. The position supports career development with structured progression and mentoring in a global firm focused on sustainable, resilient infrastructure. You will help clients make informed investments and drive positive impact for airports of all sizes.

Responsibilities
- Design airport infrastructure elements (runways, taxiways, aprons, service roads, drainage, utilities, airfield systems)
- Produce engineering calculations, reports, drawings and specifications across project lifecycle
- Investigate via site inspections and asset condition surveys to support decision-making
- Organise tasks and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions
Key requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
- Experience delivering civil infrastructure projects; aviation experience welcome but not essential
- Interest in pursuing a career in aviation infrastructure
- Enjoys solving complex engineering challenges in multidisciplinary settings
- Knowledge of DMRB or highway civil engineering design
