Overview
In this role you drive strategic procurement and contract advisory for large public and private sector programmes. You will lead a highly skilled Contract Services team, shaping end-to-end procurement on flagship projects and expanding innovative service offerings. You work closely with clients to deliver best-practice procurement outcomes and support business growth. Responsibilities
- Provide specialist procurement strategy advice to Public and Private sector clients
- Lead and manage end-to-end procurement services on major projects or programmes
- Lead and support the development of the procurement services offered by Turner & Townsend
- Lead and develop a team to achieve successful client outcomes
- Manage client relationships and related commission outputs and deliverables
- Lead and support business development and marketing of the Contract Services team’s service proposition
- Lead on bid preparation and proposal documentation and support the work-winning capability of the contract services division
- Support delivery of team and wider business targets
Key requirements
- Experience in regulated procurement, particularly Public Contract Regulations 2015
- Leading strategic major procurement projects or programmes for public and private sector clients
- Strong background in tender preparation, development and negotiation
- Commission, client relationship, and people management experience
- Experience with NEC and JCT forms of contract
- Cross-sector public procurement background desirable
- MCIPs accreditation (working towards or willing to achieve)
- Business development and bid development experience
- Degree related to construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law or procurement (preferred)
- Defence, Utilities, Infrastructure sectors experience (preferred)
- SC security clearance (current or can be reinstated)
