Overview
In this role, you will support the Trusts & Estates team in managing trust and tax matters and handling your own caseload. The position sits within a nationally recognised firm known for its client-focused, values-led culture and collaborative environment. You will work with trustees, beneficiaries and specialists across the Trusts & Estates group to deliver high-quality estate planning, trust administration and related tax work. This is an opportunity to develop your expertise while contributing to a supportive team that emphasises professional development and client care. You will engage with clients both in-office and on-site, including home visits, and contribute to business development.

Responsibilities
- Managing and supporting the firm’s trust caseload
- Drafting wills, trust documents and related estate planning instruments
- Preparing and reviewing trust accounts
- Maintaining relationships with trustees and beneficiaries
- Managing your own caseload with supervision
- Attending clients in office and off-site (including home visits)
- Collaborating across the team and wider firm
- Ensuring high standards of client care, communication and professional conduct
- Participating in team meetings, marketing and business development
- Maintaining ongoing professional development and technical knowledge
Key requirements
- Experience in estate planning, trust administration and/or trust management
- Ability to work proactively with minimal supervision on straightforward matters
- Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Confidence taking early responsibility and engaging directly with clients
- IT literacy across legal software and case management systems
- Strong stakeholder engagement
- Solutions-focused mindset with process improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- IT literacy across legal software and case management systems
- Experience with vulnerable beneficiaries or under the Mental Capacity Act (desirable)
